8th Grade Yearbook Cap & Gown Picture Day!

Your child will take their 8th grade yearbook cap & gown picture in the school auditorium on Monday October 17, 2022. Please send your child to school on Monday October 17, 2022 with formal attire. Each class is assigned a specific appointment time. I have attached the schedule. Please fill out the form below with your child’s T-shirt size, cap & gown size, and your parent/guardian contact information. You can email the form to [email protected] or your child can bring it to Room 119.

Urban Advantage Family Festivals this upcoming weekend!

Urban Advantage Family Science Festivals start this Saturday and Sunday! All events occur this weekend and NEXT weekend (JUNE 4, 5 & 11, 12). 

Families should bring EITHER email/digital OR paper copy of this flier to ANY UA institution for FREE admission on these dates. Please note that The Bronx Zoo and New York Hall of Science require pre-registration.

Gun Violence Awareness Month

June is Gun Violence Awareness Month, a nationwide movement to call attention to the epidemic of gun violence and as gun violence remains a crisis that takes countless lives and a toll on our communities and children, we must take action, NOW!

Uniform Policy

Attention Parents: Students are required to wear their uniforms until the end of the school year. Shorts, Crocs and slides are not allowed to be worn any time. Parents will be called to bring appropriate attire if students are not dressed in accordance with the school policy.

Atención Padres: Los estudiantes deben usar sus uniformes hasta el final del año escolar. No se permite el uso de pantalones cortos, Crocs y sandalias en ningún momento. Se llamará a los padres para que traigan vestimenta apropiada si los estudiantes no están vestidos de acuerdo con la política de la escuela.


In alignment with our STEM vision and mission, we are excited to announce our D6 STEM Expo hosted collaboratively with NYC FIRST.

Our CSD 6 school community will showcase school-based STEM work for the first time during the expo.

The D6 STEM Expo will be on:

LOCATION: Armory Track, 216 Fort Washington Ave, New York, NY 10032 [between 168th & 169th Street].

Join us in this historical moment as we make this a traditional annual event to showcase the hard work that D6 teachers and students have put in to introduce robotics to their classrooms.

The event is FREE of charge. We invite all community members to attend!
